Varm, gnistrende høst

Stuen begynner å bli klar for høst.
Temperaturene er ikke så lave ennå, så foreløpig er det bare stearinlys i vedovnen.

Fremdeles litt blomster å finne i hagen; Dahlia og vivendel blomstrer ennå.

Hvor ble alle fargene av?

From within

Love those Fridays

A few glimpses from around the house on a Friday morning.

A golden glimmering candle in the living room.

Still snow in the garden, but since this picture was taken the heavy wind has blown it around and rearranged it somewhat.

In the kitchen, a tray for oils and othe cooking gear.

A stack of pillows waiting to go to a more permanent storage on top of the closet.

Love that it's Friday!
Have a wonderful weekend.

By the chair

I need some inspiration these days. Feeling a bit empty.
So I got out the favourite chair (trying to overlook the fact that the cover desperately needs a washing),  pillows and blanket at the ready, and a good sized stack of magazines.

All set to be inspired.

Got the idea for this arrangement from the first photo in this post over at Interiors Originals
- so lovely pictures.

The stack of magazines must have come from another photo:)

Decision making is so hard

Things are at a stand still here.
While I'm trying to decide whether or not to take on a paint job on all the walls in the house.

It's not strictly necessary but it would look sooo nice.
The walls are already whitish but I would like them to be all white.
That's on the pro side
plus that it would be a lot easier to do it now than later because of some other wall constructing projects.

On the con side is that I had an idea to finish projects before starting new ones
plus that I'm not sure I'd have what it takes to finish the job.
The last thing I need is yet another project that doesn't finish.

So I'm pondering back and forth.
Meanwhile everything is at a stand still.

The living room looks a mess,
with materials, fabrics, equipments and tools all over.
This is the only nice corner.

I have to make a decision!

New magazine

After seeing quite a few posts about the new interior decoration magazine Studio I was very curious as I sat down to look through the first issue of this magazine.
I wasn't disappointed:
it was really cool and  inspiring about living in small spaces.
Right up my ally.

Bright colors

Sitting at the breakfast table, it's a grey and dull day outside. But looking around I realize there are quite a few spots of bright color in here.

Pillows on the dining room bench.

Weed in a bowl.

Plastics on the table.

Some of the food.

My daughter's Silly bandz.

Opening doors

Doors conceal and reveal, they close in and shut out.
And they're a piece of furniture on their own.

Pictures from alvhemmakleri.se, stadshem.se and fantasticfrank.se.

Fantastic Frank

Love the styling in these pictures for real estate agent Fantastic Frank in Sweden.
The twisted towels and the magazines on the floor, the pair of shoes in the spot light - I'm so intrigued.
It's certainly a new and fun way to attract the interest of potential buyers.
